Who is Rooki?
Rooki is a British contemporary decollage artist from Manchester, based in the North West of England. Rooki is known for large-scale mixed-media portraits of cultural icons, constructed from torn street posters, graffiti and fragments of cultural ephemera. His work explores fragmented biography within the surface of the artwork and the visual noise surrounding public figures, often marked with a signature crown motif painted around the subject’s eye.
